Auditions are open to members of the public; however, you must become a member of The Nottingham Arts Theatre if you decide to accept a part in any of the shows above. You will be required to pay your membership BEFORE rehearsals commence (£40 full membership, concessions available).
To prepare for auditions you should familiarise yourself with the characters and script where possible. Scripts are usually available from the theatre office on a ONE-WEEK hire system (deposit payable). You may also be able to borrow scripts from the local libraries.
During the audition you will be required to read from the script and possibly present a short piece of your own choosing. You will also be required to sing and/or dance if you are auditioning for a part in one of the musicals or the opera.
Auditions are usually held in the lower club room at the theatre - report to the Green Room which is found via the stage door on Old Lenton Street and up the stairs.
